What: Historic House
Where: GL5 4TR     Next to the Oil Mill at the side of the canal
Then: A 19th century house on the Oil Mill estate
Now: A private house

Bridge House stands next to Oil Mill at the side of the canal, and is rather hidden by tall trees. This attractive five-bay ashlar-faced house was built in the early 19th century, but incorporates some fragments of its 17th century predecessor.

In the grounds is a canal overflow weir of the same design as the one in the grounds of nearby Holly Tree House; both houses were part of the Oil Mill estate in the 18th century.
