The first Rowcroft House was built in 1795 on the site of the present Lloyd’s Bank in King Street Parade, and became the premises of the Gloucestershire Banking Co in 1859. In the 1920s it was rebuilt by Lloyds Bank, as we see it now.
The second Rowcroft House was built behind the first, by 1936. It was the home of Dr Mould from then until the 1960s. It was demolished in around 1994 to build the medical centre.
