Bowbridge House is a large three-storey stone house with a classical porch and a Venetian window above, which stands on the east corner of Bowbridge Lane and London Road.

It is probably the house that Thomas Newcombe, owner of nearby Newcombe's Mill, was building in 1804. At the rear, the building betrays earlier, probably 17th century, origins.
